No sound, but video works fine?

I did what the guide said and initially imported my dvd into the computer, followed with me importing the imported file into an ipod-compatible file, or something of that sort. the video converted wonderfully; everything's there, and it works. however, for some reason, i do not have ANY audio.

i have an ipod touch 8g and vista if that matters at all.
