Hi everyone,
has anyone else noticed a significant slowdown with the converter when switching to windows 7?
I was previously on XP 32-bit with 2 gbs of ram, have moved to Windows7 64-bit with 4gb of Ram, and achieved a higher overclock on my processor, but the converter is running slower!
I'm having the same problem as you.
I'm on Win7 also and running on a 2.8ghz pen4 core duo2.
Previously, during a conversion, all 4 processors would be running at 100%.
Now... I got 3 processors barely doing anything and the last processor jumping around from 75-100% usage.

We are having a discussion over here about slow downs on multi-core machines. You may want to give version 4.08 of PS3 Video 9 a shot while we look into this.
We have now updated the software to use the conversion core found in versions 4.07/4.08. If you downloaded 5.02 from October on, you will already have the updated version.
If you downloaded 5.02 on the day it was first released (September 30, 2009), then you should:
1) Uninstall the old 5.02 on your machine
2) Download the 5.02 installer again
3) Install the new 5.02 software
It is important that you uninstall your old 5.02. Do not install over the old 5.02 or the conversion core may not be updated.
