Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Review

The Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has one of the largest collections of Australian wildlife and over 1400 animals and bird in its facility. The sanctuary is located in the Gold Coast about 20km south of downtown Surfers Paradise right along the Gold Coast Highway. Admission to the sanctuary is $32.00 for adults and is open from 8am to 5pm everyday. The sanctuary is quite large and you can easily spend a half or full day seeing all the different animals.

If you are interesting in seeing Australian native wildlife, this is the place to do it. Even though some may balk at the price, but it is definitely worth it. One of the reasons why it’s such a great place is that it lets you get close up to the animals. You can get your picture taken with a Koala, for a price, and be able to touch and pet it. You can feed a group of colorful parakeets and watch as they walk all over your fingers. You can even go into their kangaroo area where they have over 50 kangaroos roaming freely, walk right up to the kangaroos and pet them. You can also buy some kangaroo food for a couple dollars and feed the kangaroos too! You definitely won’t this kind of access at any zoo.
